Nokia IPSO Operating System
Designed with security in mind, Nokia IPSO is the operating system (OS) of choice for firewall, VPN, UTM and IDS/IPS applications. Nokia IPSO support for routing includes IPv4/IPv6, fastpath, multicast and multiple routing and firewall instances. It offers support for VLANs, link aggregation, RADIUS and TACACS+, strong password management and backup and restore—among other features.
To help ensure resilience, Nokia IPSO supports IP Clustering, VRRP, hard disk mirroring and redundant and hot swap components for select platforms. Nokia IPSO is extensively tested with multiple combinations of hardware, software and installable options for reliability, scalability, and performance.
Business Benefits:
- Increases performance and improves investment protection when used in conjunction with multi-core appliances, multi-threaded applications and Nokia Accelerated Data Path (ADP) technology
- Enables purpose built security platforms to be rapidly deployed, easy to service, delivering maximum price performance and reliability
- Reduces administrative complexity and total cost of ownership with efficient and comprehensive management capabilities
